Is This Ouija Board Haunted? Part 4 (With a little bit of part 1, 2, and 3 along the way)

This story begins how every great story does... with me up in the middle of the night surfing Facebook marketplace in search of weird items that might be haunted. In this case, I found a Ouija board listing, and something told me that I had to have it.

Now this video at the top is part 4 of the Is "This Ouija Board Haunted" series, but it includes bits and parts from the previous parts as well. The links to all of them will be at the end of this post. So, lets dive right into this story and see what we can figure out. 

The story starts in October of 2023, in the heart of spooky season, which made me think this could just be some Halloween joke. Was it something made up, or could there be more to the listing? Either way, I knew I wanted the board. It was said to be a 1960s board, but it looked much older. It had a wooden planchette and appeared to be a version released between 1938 (The date on the back of the box) and the 1950s. 

With the board there was a bit of a story posted. One that drew me in like a moth to a flame.

I did what any investigator would do and rode out to Gardendale Pickers the moment they opened and was the first in the store to buy the board. I didn't want someone else to swipe it up. When I got there, it seemed as though there hadn't been any other potential buyers hunting haunted Ouija boards in the middle of the night. The cashier took me to the board and left me there to observe it for a moment. I took some videos and pictures and then found her to unlock the case it was in and bring it to the front for me to purchase. There were two other cashiers at the front, and they all began to share ghost stories from the store, and we excited to hear that the board was being purchased by a paranormal investigator. 

I excitedly swiped my card, and the board was mine. I carefully carried it to my car and rode home. 

I messaged the seller to see if I could find anything else out about the board, but this was all that I got.

At this point I didn't know whether this story was fact or fiction, and honestly, I still don't know for sure. I will say this - Part 4 got pretty weird for me, and the sessions with the board in 2023 have some strange responses in them as well. Let's dive into this video now and go over some things.

OCT 2023 SESSIONS

The first sessions with the board provided a few responses that had me scratching my head. I started out with an Ovilus V session right when I got the board home. I got a seemingly sassy response when asking if there were any spirits attached to the board. The Ovilus spoke out "So" "What". Soon after, while my dog was right next to me having her mid-morning snack (the last kibbles of her breakfast feast) the Ovilus said "Dog". That response got me excited since she was right there beside me in the room. It also said "Ashes" which made me think about one of the stories the cashiers at the store told me about there being someone's ashes in the store at some point in the past. They said that the ashes being there stirred up some activity. The store is also full of thousands of used items and antiques from various vendors, which could house all types of energy from different sources.

Next, I performed a ghost box session with the Appydroid G Box. It said things like "He's back", "Get out", and there was a strange laugh that came through when I asked if the spirit knew what the board was called. It seemed to be joking with me. I asked if they were a malevolent spirit and got the response "Who". I got a clear F-bomb (a word that is not allowed to be said on the radio), and a very clear "Spirit" response. Overall, it was some cool responses on the G Box for the first session with the board. 

I then broke out the Direct-Linc Ghost box by Jay Prather. I had echo turned on, because it really makes those responses pop and you can hear them multiple times. The first things that came through the box were "Shit" and "Ouija". These were followed up by "Satan" and "Seven". For those of you that know me, you may have heard me talk about Seven or seen my video on Seven. The Direct-Linc session has a few more clear responses that come through. We get a "Here" response (something that is said a lot in my sessions) and the word "Zo". When asked if the spirits know Zozo a voice comes through that says "Yeah". For those that don't know, Zozo is said to be a malevolent entity that haunts Ouija boards, and you know when it's around when the planchette starts sliding back and forth between Z and O continuously. I have experienced this for myself during Ouija sessions with people that I trust. It was a strange and hypnotizing experience. We can go into that in another post as well, because this one's already going to be a long one. 

After getting the word "Zo" I got a clear response that said something creepy. It said, "Inside us".

Later, in another session, I was back to using the Appydroid G Box and the Phoneticom (a device similar to the Ovilus' word bank mode). I got the response "Haunt you" and the name "Matthew". The word "Devil" came through very clear, followed by "Warfare" and "Hell". That's a very scary list of words to be spoken out back-to-back in my opinion! When asked where the board came from, a creepy voice says, "Me" followed by another "Zo" response. Then we get another clear "Seven" response through the box. Then something really cool happens. I get the name "Johnny" on the Phoneticom, and a couple of other words come through the Appydroid G Box. When asking if they can say Johnny through the Appy box, a voice comes through and clearly says, "Appy". If that's not a relevant response, then I don't know what is! 

The cool responses don't stop there. We then get our usual "Help" come through, and a clear "Haunted". We get a voice asking, "Who's this?", the words "Pyramid" and "Cleansing", and the full phrase "You'll be in trouble". We get a couple more "Help" responses, and another F-bomb. To wrap it up I ask, "Is this board haunted?" I get a clear response: "Yeah".

NOVEMBER 2023 SESSIONS

In November of 2023 I found myself compiling all the Zo responses into one video, and there were quite a few of them. One that I found really cool was when I was using the Chattergeist device's Ouija mode. The first two letters that came through were "Z-O". After the many Zo responses, I was performing sessions with the board and the G Box. I got the response "I was dead", and when asked who was dead, the box replied, "Us". Later, I asked, "Do you have a name?" and got a quick response of "Judas". Then some weird ones come through, like "Blood", "I hate this", "Please help", and "For the Devil". That last response was then followed up with another clear "Seven". 

The footage I have from November is short but packs a punch for sure. I was on to something with this board and getting some good stuff. Shortly after I went ghost so to speak. I do this sometimes; it just depends what's going on in my life. This specific instance was due to complications my dad was having from a back surgery. I just didn't have the energy to perform sessions and make videos. I decided it was best to put the board up and continue on a later date. 

For a long time, I forgot about the board and wasn't very interested in the paranormal. I pursued other interests, focused on my job, and family life. 

In 2026 I bought a new house. One that would spark my interest in the paranormal back up within the first nights of staying there. Once again, a story for another time. 

I had honestly forgotten where I put the board. I had it in a closet in the basement of my dad's house, which is where I was staying while I tried to find a place. Once I found it, I brought it to my new home and was excited to perform a session with it. That leads us to present day, and the rest of the video that this post is about.

APRIL 2026 SESSION

When I first brought the board home from my dad's, I sat it on top of one of my shelves and left the room. When I returned, the planchette was hanging out of the box as if it wanted to fall on the ground. I have no way of proving this wasn't from me handling the board, but I figured I'd still document that it happened.

I waited until late at night and set up the board on my table. I then had one of the most intense ghost box sessions in a while. One that still gives me chills just thinking about what went down. Here's the rundown.

For this session I used the Appydroid G Box, which as you can probably tell is one of my favorite boxes to use. I'm not going to go over every response, but let's get to the good stuff. Definitely watch the video to see the full session and let me know what you think in the comments. I got a creepy voice saying, "I'm back", the word "Empty", and "Trapped". I get responses about spirits being trapped a lot, it is always unsettling to hear this. We get the number "Twenty", which was relevant to our Estes method session we did earlier in the month. I also heard a response I missed, saying "Twenty-eight", I'll see if you can find it. The numbers "Twenty" and "Twenty-eight" have been coming through lately, but I don't know what they mean. I will continue to try to ask about them and hopefully get some clarity.  

I get the word "Omega", and a daunting F-bomb taunt. Then we get the name Buddy again. Usually, Buddy comes through in more lighthearted sessions, but it seems like he's been coming through no matter what lately. I've been getting his name in many of my sessions. We will go more into that in another post as well. 

The session continues with another "I'm trapped" response. The word "Portal" is said once and another F-bomb. Then we start to get some weird responses leading up to the climax of the session. "It" "Coming" comes through, followed by "Get him". Just before the climax the words "Growing" "Focus" come through. It's as if it was building up to the big moment. The moment that left me jumping out of my skin. 

I was sitting still in my chair, just asking questions. Suddenly, I heard a sound. It sounded like something moving or shifting around in the room. You can clearly hear these sounds in the video, and the fear in my voice. I wish I had more cameras so that I could show other angles of me sitting still, and possibly catch whatever made this sound. I looked around for anything that might have fallen, but there was nothing. After the noises there is one response that is unsettling. A voice says, "Is it in". 

I've been getting more stuff referencing something referred to as "It", as if it is not a human spirit but maybe something else. I guess we will continue along on our journey here, and see what happens. Once again, this is all speculation and my opinions. We may never find the answers to the things I seek, but all I can do is try. 

WHAT COMES NEXT

I will continue investigating this board, but when it comes to my work a lot of lines get blurred. I have multiple objects said to be haunted, in a house that might possible be haunted, being lived in by a person who might have spirit attachments. Who knows, right? It could all be coincidence, psychological feedback, and just nothing at all. All I can do is try to capture everything I can on film and perform these sessions in hopes of finding answers. Part five will follow, but after that incident with the sounds and shuffling in the room I need to get my bravery back up to interact with the board again. Don't worry though, it will be sooner rather than later. The paranormal was one of my first loves, ever since I was a kid. I keep coming back to it, even when I have long periods where it doesn't interest me as much. For those that have been following my work for years now, you know what I mean.
