Two Sessions - Two Devices - Ghost Box Review

Sometimes I like to do back-to-back sessions with different devices. It helps me test out my boxes but also yields some strange results to the responses that I get. In this specific video I use my Hultay Paranormal TR-604 Ghost box and my Appydroid G Box. Both performed quite well, and I'd like to go over some of what I recorded. 

Box 1: Hultay Paranormal TR-604 Ghost Box

The Hultay Box has not disappointed yet. It's my newest box, but already one of my favorites. It has a unique sound. I'm still getting the hang of recording it at the right levels for the clearest results. For this session I wanted to a quick burst session and kept it short. My original plan was to use four different boxes, but I ran into a battery issue (low on AAA's) so I went with two instead. The Hultay Box was first in line, and I got some good stuff right out the gate. 

The first word that comes through is "Clear", which I've now heard twice at the beginning of sessions on this box. We then hear a voice say, "Listen". I heard that in real time, so I responded with, "I'm listening." Next, a male voice comes through that says, "Help me connect" followed by a female voice that says, "Oh help". These are similar responses that I get often. The word "Help" is one that comes through almost every session I do. It was cool to hear the full "Help me connect", because it makes me think there is something I can do to make the connection to the spirits better and clearer. 

The next responses got me thinking. A voice comes through and says, "And get that thing" followed by a very clear male voice saying, "Satan". What exactly is "that thing", for some reason it makes me think they are talking about something that isn't human. Like I said in the last "Is This Ouija Board Haunted" blog post, I've been getting more responses referencing something the spirits refer to as, "It". It makes me wonder what they are talking about, but maybe I'm overthinking it. The next word that comes through after "Satan" is "Infrastructure". Just a strange string of words and phrases that leaves me scratching my head. 

Next, I ask, "Who's here today?" only to get a clear response of "Ghost". It's always cool to me when words like ghost come through the boxes. Several times I've gotten the word phantom as well. Are some spirits aware of what we think they are? Or are they calling me a ghost? Just know that I may say spirits, but I am also aware that I have no idea who or what I might actually be communicating with, if anything at all. I just document the sessions I perform and hope to learn more about what comes through each time I break out a ghost box.

A voice comes through saying, "Do we record you", which made me wonder if they were upset that I was recording them. It is followed by a clear "Devil" response. A female voice comes through saying, "Keep the money", and then we hear a male voice say, "I'm Mike". Mike is another name I've been getting a lot recently. Like Buddy, Mike seems to respond to his name being said and sometimes answers questions with direct responses. Following the "I'm Mike" response is the name "Tina", which is another name I've been getting a lot lately. Like I've said in other blog posts: Mike, Buddy, Tina. Three names I've been getting in most sessions I do lately. They come through on different boxes, seem to talk amongst themselves sometimes, and honestly when I put all the clips together in unison it amazes me. Check out my Buddy video to see what I mean.  

After "Tina" a male voice comes through very clear saying, "Help us". It's often unsettling to hear these "Help" responses so much, but all I can do is try to understand what it means. Do they want help coming through, do they need help crossing over to the other side, are they in some kind of predicament. Like anything in the paranormal, it's hard to say! That was the last audible response I heard in the session, so I decided to move on to the next box. 

Box 2: Appydroid G Box     

The Appydroid G Box has been one of my favorites for a while now. It has a clean sounding scan and provides amazing results in sessions. Some believe that you need heavy static for the spirits to come through, this box makes you think differently. I enjoy using a wide variety of boxes, with various sweep speeds and scan styles. When I find a box that I really like, you will see me using it often. My old favorite was the 12-587 hacked RadioShack box. The Appydroid G Box has become one of my top choices for boxes to grab when I start a session.

This session starts with a couple of "Help" responses followed by the word "Guidance". When I heard the word "Guidance", it made me think of helping someone through the dark, so I asked, "Do you need light?" Then I got a fascinating string of words: "I... need... the light" which I did not hear in real time. Moments like that always amaze me, and that response gave me chills. I have received similar ones in the past referring the needing light. Are they stuck in darkness? Responses like this have to make you wonder. 

The session continues, and we get some seemingly random words. When words and phrases aren't making sense, I still caption what I hear. There's always a chance that they will make sense later, or when we get more similar responses from other sessions. 

We then hear two more clear "Help" responses. Like I said, this is one of the most common words I get through the ghost box. Every box, almost every session. Sometimes multiple times in a session. I wonder if I will ever get a clear answer on what they are asking for help for. 

Next, we hear the word "Portis", which if you've been following my work, you know this is a very relevant word to receive. Portis is the Latin term for door or gates, and I have videos and blogs talking more about this term being brought up in sessions. Specifically, Portis builder, which I have been trying to decipher the meaning of through questions in sessions. There is something to the word Portis, and the responses I've gotten show it. The word "Portis" has come through multiple times, as well as the word "Door", and "Portal". The next response that comes through in this specific session we are reviewing is, "Biblical", followed by more "Help's" and the word "Key". Another session that leaves me wanting to know more! 

Toward the end I say, "Bye" only to be met with a clear "Bye" response back. This has been happening more and more lately. It's always a good feeling when you hear a direct response like this, especially at the end of the session. It gets me pumped to review the session and see if what I heard was true. Recording the sessions is important. Finding that sweet spot for the volume and the distance from the camera is key. I recommend experimenting with your setup often and trying to do what you can to make the responses clearer and easier to understand. I also review my sessions with a nice pair of mixing headphones. This helps me hear some of the quieter responses, or ones that are drowned out by other sounds or static. 

Final Thoughts   

These sessions provided some fascinating responses in my opinion, and I like how each box performed in its own unique way. I enjoy using boxes that others have made or modded and seeing what results I get. I hope to find more boxes to add to my collection in the future. It is growing into one of my proudest collections that I own (I collect a lot of different things).
