Haunted Cemetery Spirit Box Session - With Appydroid G Box
Here is a cool session from October 2023. I was in an old cemetery near Bessemer, Alabama performing a ghost box session with my Appydroid G Box. It's a short session, but some things about it stood out to me. Let's review it.
We start out with the word "Worship" being said. I get a lot of religious words like this in cemeteries. I always find it interesting given the location, but words like this do come through often in home sessions as well.
The word "Here" is said, and I decide to set the box down on a small cinderblock wall. A voice comes through saying, "They grow this". I attempt to break a pesky thorn stalk, and my hand comes in view of the camera. Suddenly a voice says, "The hand." This made me wonder... were the spirits seeing what was happening through the camera? They mentioned "They grow this" as I sat the camera down in view of a lot of overgrown weeds and grass. The cemetery itself is normally pretty overgrown and not well maintained. Then, as my hand comes into view, it is mentioned immediately. Just a thought.
I then say, "Hello." only to be met back with a, "Hey." When I ask if they can tell me their name, I get a very clear male voice saying, "Joe." I ask if Joe is here and get a "No". This is always funny to me and happens often. A name will be mentioned, but shortly after when I ask if they are present, they will say, "No." I will say that there are three Joe's buried in this small cemetery. I say small, but there are over 700 graves here. It is small compared to some of the larger ones in the area though.
The name "Matthew" then comes through, which I was surprised to find that not a single Matthew was listed as being buried here. Many of the headstones are very hard to read, and long since forgotten, so it is possible that there is one here. Matthew is also a biblical name, but who knows the context behind this response. Another name that comes through that I could not find a headstone for in person or online, was "Blake".
As I pick up the box and start walking, I get a voice asking for "Help". Then we get a very clear "Jesus". Like I said, a lot of religious terms come through in cemeteries! Next, a voice says, "Died". A moment later, a younger voice says, "Dead". I get a lot of responses like this in general, but they always hit harder in a place such as a cemetery.
I then sit the box next to a tombstone. I ask for a name, and get, "Mark". This is yet another name that doesn't match any headstones in my search. Next a male voice comes through and says, "Look at me". Then, a concerned sounding male voice says, "Please." followed by a female voice saying, "Help." When I ask how I can help them I get met back with the word, "Ask" and "Learn something". Then the name "Valac" comes through very clear. This is a name associated with a supposed demon, but I don't understand why it randomly comes through here. This is not the first time I have received this name on the ghost box, and we could go deeper into the lore and history of the demon, but that will be good for its own post.
I continue walking along as the word, "Scripture" comes through. Another religious term! Could all the religious terms have something to do with "Valac" coming through? Who knows. I also have to wonder, what would Valac be doing at an overgrown cemetery in Bessemer, Alabama? It is not the only demons name that comes up in my sessions though, and several times they have come up at cemeteries or abandoned churches. It does leave me wondering.
Next, we get three female voices saying, "Help...Martha...Walking." The name Martha is on at least 13 headstones at this cemetery. Whether they were saying "Help Martha" and referring to me as "Walking" or meant something else, I am unsure. We then get the names "John" and "Jacob". The name John appears 21 times on headstones, where Jacob does not appear once. Jacob is another biblical name though.
We wrap the session up there, and I just want to say a few things. In my many years of doing sessions I realized something. You don't have to be in a haunted location, cemetery, or place where someone died to receive responses on the ghost box. So just because I get names that have nothing to do with the headstones of the cemetery, doesn't mean they aren't relevant names to the session. I feel like a session could be performed almost anywhere, but that doesn't mean that responses always come through. Even some of my sessions are very empty of clear responses, it almost seems like some have no responses at all. I have found that sometimes it feels like it has to do with how I'm feeling that day, and we will go more into that in future posts.
Anyway, I just wanted to do a little review on this short session. It's been one that stood out to me for a while, even though the video is under 3 minutes long. Be on the lookout for much more coming soon, including more reviews of these older sessions on my channel. Thanks for watching, listening, and reading.
